Chief Lending Officer

Pella, IA

Leighton State Bank is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Chief Lending Officer. This role has responsibility for providing the strategic leadership, management, and vision necessary for the loan function of the bank to generate and maintain quality loans that contribute to bank growth objectives and profitability benchmarks within the established regulatory framework. Leighton State Bank is focused on extending credit back into the local community, consistently maintaining a loan to deposit ratio in excess of 90%. The current loan portfolio is comprised of 40% agricultural, 35% commercial and 25% residential and consumer related credit.

This candidate will possess a high level of experience and knowledge to decisively lead the loan department and demonstrate effective credit management of a quality loan portfolio. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and motivate staff enabling a high quality and productive work culture.

Candidates must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, organizational skills, a can-do attitude, and have the desire to integrate and actively participate into the Pella community by representing Leighton State Bank in various community, civic, and professional organizations.  

 

Teller Supervisor/CSR

Pella, IA

Leighton State Bank has a great opportunity for an individual with strong leadership, customer service and communication skills to lead and coach our teller staff.

This full time position would provide leadership, training and guidance to the teller staff ensuring the daily activities of serving the banking needs of our customers are performed efficiently, accurately, and professionally. The Teller Supervisor would also be responsible for processing customer transactions while proactively engaging them in conversation and assisting with making appropriate product recommendations or internal department referrals as well as opening and servicing accounts.

The ideal candidate will be customer service focused, organized, and be able to demonstrate strong supervisory skills. This position requires the ability to multi-task and respond to various requests simultaneously.
