As the new Vice President and Sr. Loan Officer at LSB, Jeff Meyer leads and supervises lending activities at the bank. “I look forward to assisting our LSB lending staff in continuing to provide personal, efficient, and convenient service to our customers,” said Jeff. “I also plan to focus my attention on expanding LSB’s credit products and services. As a community bank, we have the capability to customize solutions for our customers’ financing requests."
After graduating from Iowa State University in 1977, Jeff attended a year of graduate school, then began working for PCA (now Farm Credit) as a lender in southwest Iowa. In 1981, he began his banking career as farm representative with a community bank in Tipton, Iowa. Since then, he has served in a variety of senior management positions as a community banker in eastern Iowa. “I’ve always enjoyed the loan side of our business and the daily opportunities to help our customers grow and prosper,” said Jeff.
Jeff and his wife Kathy were born and raised in Cedar County in eastern Iowa and have three children: Ryan, Alaina (husband Erik), and Emily. All are graduates of Iowa State University. Last May, Jeff and Kathy welcomed their first grandchild and celebrated the graduation of their youngest daughter from ISU. Their relocation to Pella for Jeff’s new job allows them to be closer to their daughters and new grandson.
Outside of work, Jeff has served with several community, county, and regional development organizations. In his spare time he enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and helping his daughter and son-in-law with their farming operation.
